I'm writing this blog because I've exhausted all medical help that I can find. I've emptied my wallet on Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Osteopaths, and begged my Physician for referrals only to be told that I'd have to wait another 6-9 month before getting in anywhere. So maybe someone out there can help me. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Here is my dilemma:

Summary
I returned from training at Kripalu centre MA USA in late May. Within a week of being back in Calgary I started waking up with small hives on my wrists. At first I thought they might be bites but they would disappear within hours after waking without medication. This continued to progress throughout the summer months in both Calgary and in PEI. They increasingly got worse appearing larger in size and spreading all over my legs and arms and sometimes belly or hip. At this point I had to use benedryl to regress them. They would also appear occasionally during the day if carrying a bag as a result of pressure or a waist band on my skin etc.

In November I woke one morning, taught a yoga class then shortly after a small lump appeared under my eyelid. Quickly my entire face swelled particularly around my eyes to the point that I was barely recognizable. I immediately medicated with 2 benedryls and continued every 6 hours for 3 days until the swelling finally left my body. This happened 4 more times between November and the end of January.

In addition to these symptoms I felt exhausted, gained 20 pounds over the course of 2-3 months. And felt swelling in my joints especially in the mornings. Prior to these symptoms I was happy, healthy and feeling fabulous and now I'm feeling depressed and full of anxiety regarding my health.

At the advice of my Naturopath I eliminated wheat, yeast, shellfish, fish, dairy, soy, night shade vegetables, seeds and nuts and cooked all my fruits and vegetables for a month. The hives still appeared at the same rate but to a lesser extent (similarly to the beginning stages of my symptoms) in the mornings after rising and sometimes late at night.

I continued this diet for another month then saw an allergist.I tested moderate to strong against corn, oats, coffee, pineapple, beans, grapes, garlic, honey, tea, lamb, pork, and beef. I tested mildly to wheat, mixed flour, milk, potato, apple, orange, scallops, shrimp, chicken, rice, soy, and peanuts, and red wine. And thus eliminated all strong and moderate food groups and as much as possible the later group. I did this for two weeks. Still no change. I continue to eat this way as much as possible which is very very difficult considering the quantity of foods that I'm allergic to.
From approximately late January till now and in the absence of eating these trigger foods, the hives are appearing less regularly but more severely covering my entire body, primarily my arms legs and chest. Rarely my abdomen or back.
Today I woke and ate a piece of Ezekiel bread and a half a cup of coffee with rice milk, which I have eaten on recent occasion without reaction, yet today my right eye swelled over. The swelling was mild in comparison to the other facial reactions I've had in the past and this time the swelling ceased without medication.

Since late January, early February I started to experience irregular menstual cycles as well.
I've had tons of blood work and everything is normal except that my B12 is high, likely as a result of the injection my Naturopath gave me. Also my Ferritin is on the low side of normal. My hemoglobin is good. My testosterone level is low at 0.2 . My last pap test was in December and it was normal.
My energy has improved within the last two months but I'm not back to normal. Despite a healthy diet and teaching 15 yoga classes a week, no weight loss has been experienced.

I have traveled throughout South East Asia, Italy within the past 3 years and Mexico within the past month.
